Sweet Orange, Ahh, how refreshing and uplifting.
Oranges are highly cultivated all throughout the United States. However only about 20 percent of the U.S. crop is sold as whole fruit. The remainder is used for orange juice, extracts and preserves. It is used extensively for flavoring of foods, drinks and desserts. It is also widely used in the perfume and cleaning industries.
From the orange tree we get 3 varieties of essential oil. The tips of the branches and leaves give us Petitgrain essential oil. The orange blossoms provide us with Neroli essential oil.
